So I’m way excited about moving, but packing up all my crap really sucks. Two years of accumulating so much stuff makes this very hard. Add on top of that the horrible heat today…

At 2:30 today, I sign the lease for my new apartment. YAY! So glad that the hunt is over with, it was way too stressful.
Was too lazy to update the blog with my frustration with my apartment hunt, so I just phoned it in. Yay for Boston trip though!
Add on top of the frustration of apartment hunting the fact that I have to bring with me 2 cats, am looking in a very limited area, people don’t post enough info on craigslist to make it worth inquiring about, and people don’t reply to emails regarding their craigslist ads.
Found a nice place yesterday but don’t want pets… seem negotiable on that. Lets hope when I talk with them later today that they are and this hunt will be over.
Apartment hunting is such a pain. I hate coordinating between like 4 parties and setting up showings and figuring out finances. I wish it would just magically happen. No such luck.

Jim Sheppard is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh studying Political Science and Public Policy. Jim currently serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Pittsburgh City Councilman Jim Motznik and as webmaster for the political action committee Motznik for District Judge. He also serves as the President of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Democrats, and is a committeeman on the Allegheny County Democratic Committee representing the University of Pittsburgh campus and surrounding neighborhood.
Jim served as President of the University of Pittsburgh College Democrats for 2006-2007, proudly overseeing campus efforts to re-elect Governor Rendell and defeat Rick Santorum. He also was a founding member of the University of Pittsburgh Stonewall Democrats and helped host the 2006 National Stonewall Democrats Convention on campus. Jim also served on the University of Pittsburgh Student Government Board Diversity Committee.
Jim Sheppard attended the 2008 Democratic National Convention as a Delegate from Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District (The fighting 14th!).
